Passive Renewals

All Sana members are automatically opted into passive renewals. This means once a renewal open enrollment period comes to an end, if the subscriber hasn't selected a new plan or declined coverage, they will automatically be opted in to the same plan as before, along with any dependents. If that plan is no longer available, the most similar plan will be selected on their behalf. 

It's important all subscribers consider actively selecting a plan during their renewal open enrollment period. Our passive renewals policy, however, ensures nobody is left without coverage in the event they forget.

Once a passive renewal goes into effect, a member can only make changes to their plan through a qualifying life event.
