Scheduling Surgeries and Procedures

Surgeries and procedures can be stressful. We're here to make your experience easier. If your diagnosis requires a surgery or procedure, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Get a complimentary second opinion from a nationally recognized elite specialist from the comfort of your home within 3-5 days through 2nd.MD. Learn more about 2nd.MD.
  2. Let a care specialist book your surgery or procedure at a world-class hospital and enjoy top-quality healthcare plus travel and accommodations for you and a loved one, all at little or no cost to you with Carrum. Learn more about Carrum Health.
  3. If you've already consulted with 2nd.MD and Carrum Health isn't the right choice for you, then you'll want to proceed with scheduling your procedure with your selected provider. If you have not yet selected a provider, our Find a Doctor tool can help! Learn more about inviting a provider.
  4. Since Sana considers all hospitals and facilities in-network, please submit an Invite a Provider form for the particular hospital or facility where your surgery or procedure will be taking place, as well as for your provider performing the surgery or procedure, so we can reach out to ensure that they have the correct insurance and billing information on file with each. Learn more about inviting a provider.
  5. Verify your benefits/coverage for the procedure by contacting Sana at (833) 726-2123.  
  6. If your surgery or procedure requires pre-authorization, have your provider contact Valenz, our Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) accredited partner for utilization management, at (877) 608-2200 or online
